Ourtown Scale Modellers' Association - Armoured Division

 

Welcome to the page of the OSMA-AD group.

OSMA-AD run our battles based on the "World R/C Tank HQ" rules. These allows OSMA-AD and other R/C tank groups to be able to compete equally with other clubs based around the world using the same rules. Our membership numbers at moment are 9 full members with R/C tanks.

All of our R/C tanks at moment are in the 1/16 scale but stay tuned for updates where we will be modelling in all scale from 1/35 to 1/8 scale, including SDKFZ 9 Famo's, M1A1 Abrams, Kubelwagens, Jagdtiger, King Tiger's and many more.

Our latest additions 2 Leopard AS1's and 2 Leopard 2A6's. All have been cammed as Australian Armour.

Jim Riley

Jim was introduced to the hobby of RC Model Tanks by driving a Leopard 1 (mine) at one of our local shows and it didn't take him long to realise it was time to get into this sport. He now own's a Tiger 1, Abrams, T-34's, a Sherman, a Humvee and is looking at building a 1/8 Tiger 1 in the future.

 

 

 

    

Leigh Jansen (Legion!)

This young man was dragged into the hobby (not really), as an avid modeller himself, he has constructed and exhibited over the years his marvellous Star Wars collection, helicopters and now tanks with the co-owning of a Abrams M1A1 and also a Tiger 1.

Glen Plumridge

A modeller who we met up with and has joined our merry band with a Tiger and a 1/8 Panther.

Yes the Panther is fully Aluminium with his own cast tracks.

 

(Yes that is my 1/16 Leopard AS1 beside this massive tank.)
